The impact campaign for In the Name of the Father was designed to transform the film’s powerful narrative into sustainable social change. Rooted in respect for the survivors whose stories are at the heart of the film, the campaign’s mission is to protect children and expose the ongoing human-rights violations within the Yavniel ultra-Orthodox community in Israel, including underage marriages, sexual abuse, and systemic neglect by authorities.

Launched in January 2023, the campaign targeted multiple levels of influence — from government and law enforcement to nonprofit organizations, influencers, and the general public.

  • Government & Authorities: Partnerships were established with key ministries — Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Education, and the State Attorney’s Office — to advance policy review and legislative reform.

  • Police: An interdisciplinary team linking police, prosecutors, and social-affairs representatives was formed to monitor law-enforcement responses and ensure accountability.

  • Nonprofits: After mapping relevant NGOs, alliances were forged to provide immediate aid to survivors and to develop long-term prevention programs.

  • Therapeutic Support: Survivors received access to treatment through a designated nonprofit offering umbrella assistance for trauma recovery.

  • Influencers: A pre-premiere screening engaged ultra-Orthodox community figures — rabbis, lawyers, and therapists — who amplified the campaign’s message within their networks.

  • Public Engagement: Strategic collaboration with Kan 11’s digital and press teams generated viral content that reached millions, sparking wide public dialogue and yielding hundreds of offers for help and collaboration.

Following the April 2023 broadcast of the series, the campaign continued expanding partnerships, advocacy, and survivor support, solidifying In the Name of the Father as not only a documentary but a catalyst for systemic change and public awareness.
